While We Are Apart

I wrote “While We Are Apart” about the loss of my son, but my hope is that I made broad enough strokes to allow readers to think of their own situation, whether it be the loss of a grandmother, a parent missing their child when they leave for college, someone who misses their friend who moved far away, or maybe even a child who is temporarily separated from a parent. No one is immune to the ache that comes with missing someone and I believe this book will resonate not just with children, but with the adults who read this book to them. It is a sentimental guide, written in verse, that teaches us how we can honor the ones we miss as we move forward.

TWO WATERS

Ride along with Maximus as he discovers magic in the ordinary. To some it may be just a drive down a normal, frequently traveled road, but when you see it through Maximus' bright eyes, you find beauty, wonder and surprises around every corner. While Maximus thinks the road is magic, Mommy knows where the magic truly lies. This is a heart-warming, exciting story that gives readers a visceral response of anticipation, awe, and affection.
